World-Renowned Boerner Botanical Gardens

Historic Trimborn Farm and Jeremiah Curtain House

Guided tour of a unique example of early Wisconsin industry and farming. Trimborn boasts nine structures in their original locations, including one of the largest stone barns in Wisconsin. The lime kilns of German immigrant Werner Trimborn produced the mortar that literally helped build Milwaukee. Adjacent to Trimborn is the Jeremiah Curtin House, an Irish stone cottage and boyhood home of the 19th century linguist, translator, and ethnologist. Package includes a 25% off regular tour price.
